We had the pleasure of leading the first Forensics Day at The Seaford Head Psychology Department and working with these amazing and intelligent A-level students. Everyone was really welcoming and polite. They all showed great contribution and interest to the course which made the day highly educating and amusing. We hope that Zakon has inspired many of the sixth formers to develop and show them a realistic look into a few different career paths.
We had an absolute great time the whole day, and especially at the Crown Court trial (which was “the absolute highlight” for the staff and students), where everyone was able to participate and put to practise everything they have learnt earlier. We hope this encouraged people to follow their chosen careers and inspired those who are unsure. The students were great at asking questions which led us to a lot of profuse discussions about lots of real-life experience Simon has. The day also consisted of a real-life example of a case that started off with a 999 call, similar to our Primary Police Investigation and Crime Science course, and the case continue to develop as the students put their new skills to practise on collecting and reading the evidence.
Zakon had a great time presenting the Forensic science and Courtroom workshop course to the amazing hosts at Seaford Head Psychology Department. We would love to work with them in the future and meet more of their exceptional students and staff.
