We can see the use of science in every aspect of our everyday life. We wake up and use paste and brush which both are given by science. Even the houses we live in are products of science. The point is, we don’t always appreciate science as much as we should, but the British Science Week is a great opportunity to understand the importance and uses of science.
British science week is a 10-day celebration of science and all the different uses of it. It’s important that we all understand the part science plays in our life and society. Some examples of the different fields where science is used are medicine, agriculture, transportation, communication, construction, photography, and others. The development of the world because of science is a never-ending process, that makes our life easier and gives wings to our imagination by its facts and theories.
When most of us think of science, we usually think of an experiment in a laboratory and scientist, but it’s likely that we will find science right in front of us. Whether that would be a computer, a lamp, heating, science is also the base of all building constructed by people. Because of the advanced science we have today, investigations are much easier and accurately solved. Science haven’t always been a big part of the crime solving process like it is today, forensic science such as techniques for fingerprinting identification and classification were developed in the late 19th century, but DNA fingerprinting or genetic profiling was invented just 25 years ago. Our team of experienced police detectives has been able to really see the benefits of having the technology and developed science when solving a case. One way that we show our appreciation for science is by trying to spread more knowledge about the different uses in the criminology and law fields. We try to inspire students and their career development by allowing them to experience a real crime solving investigation with our one-day school workshop https://zakon.co.uk/courses/course/police-investigation-and-crime-science-training-for-schoolchildren where everyone gets a role and has to use their evidence to defend their investigation.
