Our presentation has attracted dozens of lovely comments from interpreters who attended the CIOL webinar covering key issues arising from Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking investigations.
We have been overwhelmed to have had so many people contact us with fantastic feedback following our recent input on behalf of the CIOL. The content can be somewhat distressing and so it was great to see over 200 interpreters, most of whom were new to the subject of Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking. A huge thanks to the CIOL for organising such a good webinar covering a very emotive subject. Here’s what some of the delegates had to say: -
“This is a must for public service interpreters and police officers!”
“It was really great! Both Simon Smith and Joanna Druggan were such captivating speakers!”
“Thank you so much for this. I found it very useful and informative.”
“Great presentation. Loved it. Very inspiring. It’s made me want to do more MS and HT work and I need to make it happen.”
“It was particularly interesting to find out the view point of the police concerning interpreters.”
“Zakons’ resources are wonderful. Having worked with trafficked children, next time I will be able to search their resources to help me to prepare better.”
Overall, 98% of delegates found the inputs excellent which makes all of the time and energy we out into these events all the more worthwhile.
Zakon run a really interactive workshop called Interpreting Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Investigations which can be seen here Interpreting MS/HT Workshop They also supply training to Government Slavery Investigators and Police so bring experience from real cases to prepare interpreters for working in these types of investigations. These workshops receive outstanding feedback from both new and experienced interpreters so please do contact email@example.com to register your interest for future events.
As well as organising our own events, we are also able to run these workshops on behalf of your organisation, institute, professional group etc. We come to you, bring everything that we need and can cater for up to 40 delegates for the full face to face workshop and these will resume once lockdown measures are lifted and we can continue safely.
