Due to coronavirus lockdowns, many of us are experiencing increasing levels of stress and anxiety
The coronavirus pandemic has affected all of us in many different ways and many people are experiencing higher amounts of stress and anxiety. Some things are out of our hands and this is the first time in our lifetime that were experiencing a global pandemic of this magnitude and there is no normal way to deal with this. With the accompanying lockdown, this can leave many people feeling low and isolated.
These are difficult times, and we need to recognise and help people who are dealing with increasing stress and try to understand how they’re feeling, both personally and professionally.
UK employers have reported that 17.9 million working days were lost due to stress, depression and anxiety in 2019/20 (source HSE) and most would suggest that this figure has increased during the pandemic.
