The Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) is the leading UK-based membership body for language professionals. It aims to enhance and promote the value of languages and language skills in the public interest and provides regulated qualifications through the IoL Educational Trust. Founded in 1910, the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) received its Royal Charter in 2005, and is a professional association for language professionals.
As a Chartered body, CIOL holds the register of Chartered Linguists in the public interest, a source of qualified, practising and experienced professional linguists. We have spent the last four years bringing our unique Police and Court Interpreter workshops to interpreters across England and Wales and have built an reputation for first class, hands on, practical workshop delivery, all led by practitioners with supporting legal and investigative degrees.
We were absolutely delighted to find that we were recommended, without prompting, at the CIOL Conference this weekend. In particular, our Interpreting Police Interviews workshops in Wembley on the 20th and 21st March and our Interpreting Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Investigations workshop on the 22nd of March, all in Wembley, London got a special mention for which we felt very humbled.
