The Business Hive is a local Lincolnshire management consultant group dedicated to helping businesses gather connections in the North Lincolnshire area and we are delighted to have our Police Investigation and Forensic Science Day published within the latest copy of their Business News.
When we first started out three years ago, it was important that we built up new contacts and connections and our membership of the Hive has been integral to achieving this. One of the ways in which the Hive support new businesses like Zakon is to publish and promote inspiring success stories and our very own Police and Crime Science Workshop has been written about here.
This day started out locally in Lincolnshire and has proven so popular that we now cover the country. Children are introduced to the world of investigations and recognise how their own skills can already relate to careers. They are guided through a set of practically based scenarios demonstrating how science aids an investigation and how their classroom based learning facilitates this. They then look at searching, deprivation of liberty (arresting) and questioning styles. The day concludes with the investigation of a mock crime scene where all of their skills are brought together.
A brief video outlining the day can be seen here
As a result of the success of the day, we now have specific workshops aimed at Secondary School, Universities and even do teambuilding days that conclude in a mock courtroom battle! For more information, you can email simon@zakon.co.uk.
