We are very pleased to have been invited to give a presentation at the VLP conference on 29th September 2018.
VLP is an organisation for British Sign Language interpreters and other professionals who work with deaf people; such as Deafblind communicators, BSL/English Translators and Lipspeakers. VLP is aimed at helping the professionals to support each other on a local and a national basis.
The VLP Conference 2018 is due to be held at Bournville Conference Centre Birmingham on the weekend of the 29th and 30th September, on the theme of "Working Together".
Zakon Training are very pleased and privileged to have been invited to give a presentation on the opening day of the conference. Our presentation will focus on working with vulnerable interviewees during the investigative interview process, and will outline relevant legislation and guidance, as well as giving some useful hints and tips for the future.
The presentation will be put together by highly experienced police trained advanced interviewers, with one also being a practising interview advisor (the highest level of investigative interviewing qualification currently available within UK police).
We hope to spark a great deal of debate with our presentation, as well as updating and refreshing delegates on many of the latest issues related to investigative interviewing techniques and practice.
