We are proud to be associated with the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) delivering training to their staff.
We have been involved with the GLAA for about a year or so now, and as well as criminal disclosure responsibilities training, we also train GLAA investigators in the interviewing of Vulnerable and Intimidated witnesses compliant with Achieving Best Evidence Guidelines.
We have been particularly keen to deliver high level interview training as, since May 2017, the GLAA has taken on the role and remit of the Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA). The GLAA has also been granted police-style powers to investigate labour abuse and exploitation across all aspects of the UK labour market – more information on the transition from GLA to GLAA can be found here.
Each interviewing course is a week long and we have already delivered a number of these to Labour Abuse Prevention Officers who have the demanding job of investigating potential modern slavery offences and serious labour exploitation. We have also delivered the course to a number of GLAA intelligence officers and compliance officers. The training is designed to educate staff on specific legal requirements, the intricacies of adhering to achieving best evidence guidelines, and to develop enhanced interview techniques required for investigators of serious and complex crime. The training is delivered by experienced, academically and professionally qualified trainers and practitioners with extensive interview experience at all levels of criminality.
We have learned from our association with the GLAA that they have a highly committed workforce, who do a very high pressured job in sometimes difficult circumstances; all with the aim of helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
We have also been very grateful for the tremendously positive feedback that we have received from delegates on our courses, with comments including "excellent course". despite being previously trained "found this course more worthwhile" and "all staff should get this training".

If your organisation would benefit from interview training at any level, then please contact us at email@example.com to discuss your requirements.
