We have run this workshop in a number of locations, and have been asked whether we could organise the same event in the West Midlands area. We have chosen the Holiday Inn, Chapel Lane, Birmingham B43 7BD, to make the venue as accessible as possible for anyone who has not had the chance to attend one of our workshops, or indeed anyone who wants to come along for a refresher.

Whilst we have aimed the workshop at interpreters (both spoken and sign language), as we are dealing with the police investigative interview, the lessons learned are equally valid for those working with other investigative agencies.

The day, which includes inputs on both witness and suspect interviews, will finish with an interactive practical exercise covering topical issues drawn from live cases. This fully packed day will include time to network and will be facilitated by experienced police trained advanced interviewers with particular experience of working with interpreters.

The day is also relevant to other professionals who may be involved in investigations (e.g. appropriate adults, social workers, sign language experts, court interpreters).

The venue is conveniently located on Junction 7 of the M6 motorway. The day includes a full and comprehensive catering package with accommodation available on site at an extra charge. Certificates for CPD will be provided.

The day is priced at just £96 if booked prior to 18 February 2018. Bookings after this date are at £120. The price is fully inclusive of VAT, breakfast rolls, drinks, snacks and meals.
