Interview Techniques Employability Training

Interview Techniques Employability Training

12 January 2017

We are really pleased to have been commissioned to deliver some one-day interview preparation training at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln.

Whilst these days were commissioned in order to assist graduates from the university in preparing for their next steps, whether that be job, further education or any other type of performance interviews, it is open to anyone to attend.

We have a great deal of experience in interviewing, whether that be interviewing of witnesses or suspects in a crime, or interviewing of applicants for various jobs. To conduct a truly effective interview, the techniques used in criminal or employment interviews are very similar in many respects, as the interviewer is trying to obtain an account from the interviewee that any good interviewer will want to test and probe.

What we know from our experience is that the key to performing well as the interviewee in the job market, is to plan and prepare. Our session will explain the common types of structure that are used for questioning candidates, and the areas you should be concentrating on to prepare and be able to give a good account of yourself.

Whilst the interview itself can be a somewhat scary place, we can help remove much of that fear by giving you the confidence to be able to present yourself in the best possible light, and be capable of giving the best interview performance you can.

We cannot guarantee that you will get the job you want, but we can guarantee that we will remove a lot of the mystery and apprehension around the interview, and that you will be given the tools to enable you to leave the interview room knowing you did your best.

The days that we have been commissioned to deliver this on are Friday 24th February 2017 and Monday 12th June 2017. Places can be booked for just £50 per person for Bishop Grosseteste University students and alumni, or £60 per person for anyone else.

For further information or to book a place please contact Gemma Fogg at the university via e-mail at gemma.fogg@bishopg.ac.uk or telephone 01522 583621.
