The issues and challenges surrounding interpreter-assisted investigative interviews of victims and witnesses

The issues and challenges surrounding interpreter-assisted investigative interviews of victims and witnesses

29 November 2016

The title of this blog entry is also the title of a masters level thesis that we have kindly been allowed to share.

The thesis has been produced by Katrina Mayfield, and grew out of her 10 years of experience as a police interpreter, and as the interpreting and translation services manager with Cambridgeshire Constabulary.

We have put a copy of the thesis in our resource library and we will pass on any feedback received to Katrina.

We will be very happy to publicise any other research through our resource library, so long as it is relevant to our business areas, and appears to be of interest to our readers.

We wish to thank Katrina for sharing her thesis with us, and commend it to our readers, especially those with an interest in the area of police interpreting.
