Children are fascinated by the Police, Crimes and Crime Scene Science. This practical, fun and interactive day sees them develop a range of practical skills to solve a grizzly death and is a fantastic compliment to the school curriculum. Read below to see how we could visit you for free!
Experienced police detectives run this highly interactive day and bring challenge and fun into the classroom. Children are guided through a set of practically based scenarios demonstrating how science aids an investigation and how their classroom based learning facilitates this. They look at searching, deprivation of liberty (arresting) and DNA, and the day concludes with the investigation of a “real” grizzly death where all of their skills are brought together.
Our inspirational role models are picked for their ability to engage with children, break barriers and introduce children to the children to a range of careers within law, investigation and science. We promote rule of law, tolerance, British values and deep thinking amongst many other things.
This exciting day is a perfect way to engage all learners and our flexible lesson plans can be adapted to meet various school topics (e.g. science, crime and punishment). The children leave with a whole host of investigation materials that they use to investigate crime and also a certificate to remember the day and show off to families the enhanced school offering.
Any school or organisation booking with us before the end of the 2018/19 school year will be entered into a draw to either win the cost of a day back, or to have a return visit for a day free of charge.
The teaching is one full day and we travel to your school and fit entirely around your usual school timings. The price of just £495 includes all materials and teaching fees. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to book your place.
